MGI announces new Chairman and International Committee Members

MGI Worldwide is pleased to announce its new Chairman, Peter Winter and to welcome two new members, Thomas Althoff and Arthur Baguley, to the International Committee, MGI’s supervisory board. 

The changes were confirmed at the recent MGI AGM in Chicago, which included a farewell address from MGI’s outgoing Chairman and International Committee (IC) Member for Europe, Erik Emilsson, after 7 years on the IC, serving his final year as Chairman. Clive Bennett, MGI Worldwide CEO, presented Erik with a special plaque to mark the occasion.  

Peter Winter, former Deputy Chairman, will replace Erik as Chairman and remain as IC Member for UK &Ireland. He is Managing Partner of CBW (Carter Backer Winter LLP) based in London, UK. Peter is a very active member of MGI and has been with CBW since 1988.

Thomas Althoff, former MGI Central Circle Leader in Europe, will replace Erik as the IC Member for Europe and also joins the Executive Committee, which is elected from the IC and is led by the Chairman. Thomas is a Partner of RLT Ruhrmann Wüller & Partner, headquartered in Essen and with four further offices in Germany. Thomas has been very active in the European Area, regularly involved in circle, area and global meetings.

Arthur Baguley, will replace Gerald Diamond as the IC Member for Africa. Arthur was a former Chairman of MGI from 2007 to 2010. He is a Partner of MGI Bass Gordon GHF based in Cape Town, South Africa.
