In this, our first Tech Webinar of 2021, Sue van der Valk, IT partner and CaseWare champion aMGI Bass Gordon in Cape Town, South Africa, will share the firm's experiences as a user of CaseWare, why it is an important part of their business and how they operate and the benefits they have realised since they implemented the software back in 2003. 

Joining Sue as a panelist will be Simphiwe Zuma, an Associate Member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Wits Business School. She is an experienced accountant who is passionate about the development and growth of Africa particularly through the use technology. She is currently the Business Development Manager for CaseWare Africa, focusing on stakeholder management and advancing the use of technology to improve the way business is done by auditors and accountants across the continent.

Jaap de Waard is Head of Business Development for Europe and the Middle East and located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  Jaap started his career at KPMG Netherlands performing a broad spectrum of accounting and audit work ranging from the preparation of financial statements for family-owned businesses to the audit of listed companies. He founded CaseWare International's European office and works closely with the CaseWare distributors and the software development teams in Toronto and is a member of the CaseWare International Executive Team. He is the main contact for international mid-tier accounting networks and is responsible for product localisation in new markets.
