Central and Eastern European Circle Meeting 2016
The 2016 Central and Eastern European Circle meeting offered a unique opportunity for members of the Eastern Circle to reinforce their business relations with Central Circle firms.
The meeting was organised by Central Circle Leaders Michael Grüne and Thomas Althoff and kindly hosted by Arno Steudter from MGI Dr. Steudter Revision GmbH, Ransbach-Baumbach. The meeting attracted 35 participants from 24 firms coming from Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary, Rumania, and Poland.
Our venue was at the yellow castle of Montabaur. This is the second time that Central European Circle members have gathered in Montaubaur, the first time being in 2009.
The evening before the conference, the team had great dinner at the Castle’s conference centre, followed by lively talks at the bar.
The next day began with the welcome notes from Arno Steudter and the Circle coordinators Michael Grüne and Thomas Althoff. Greater part of morning was devoted to presentations of past collaborations among MGI Worldwide firms. First, Michael Grüne and László Killik shared a client case study in which their firms, Prof. Dr. Binder, Dr. Dr. Hillebrecht u.Partner GmbH and BPO AUDIT TAX collaborated closely.
Following this, Hana Daenhardtová from LTA Tax s.r.o. Prague, gave a brief case study about LTA Tax’s collaboration with MGI Slovakia member, Paragraf Tax Advisory and Accountancy Office. Teo Teaha then shared details of recent developments at his firm, Teaha Management Consulting SRL, in Romania.
Before the coffee break, the team split into two groups and began discussing collaboration opportunities between Central and Eastern European Circle members.
The meeting continued with a presentation by DATEV audit software company.
News from Area Firms and MGI Worldwide
During the first part of afternoon Steirer Mika & Company and Gräwe & Partner GmbH shared their recent company news. Thomas Althoff then brought members up to date regarding the work of the MGI International Committee and Michael Grüne reported on news from the Technical Committee.
