European Eastern & Mediterranean Circle meeting 2018
This year’s joint European Eastern & Mediterranean Circle meeting took place on 8-9 March in Marrakech, Morocco. The meeting was well attended by circle members with representatives from France, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania and Switzerland, who were joined by colleagues from Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia and United Kingdom.
The success of last year’s joint Prague meeting inspired Eastern and Mediterranean Circle leaders Corneliu-Teofil Teaha, László Killik, Menashe Knobel and Stéphane Loubières to hold another joint meeting in 2018 with the new goal of building closer relationships with French-speaking MGI Worldwide members in North Africa. For this reason, it was decided to move the meeting outside of the European continent to Marrakech, and to encourage MGI Worldwide colleagues from the region to attend.
After a short introduction to North African markets, opportunities to build business between Europe and North African countries were considered and lively discussions held as participants defined expectations and business goals.
BPO Audit Tax, Studio Pragma and Milsted-Langdon then presented their new business collaboration initiative that generated great interest among delegates. The original idea was presented at the Prague circle meeting in 2017 by Studio Pragma and Knobel Beltzer Soraya & Co.
Delegates agreed to continue to strengthen collaboration by organising a meeting that will focus on building business among members located around the Mediterranean Sea.
The agenda was aimed at helping members to develop their network, induce business building, enjoy the friendly atmosphere and celebrate Moroccan cuisine – for which there was plenty of opportunity as most of the delegates decided to extend their stay in Marrakech for the weekend.
Date: 8-9 March
Venue: Marrakech, Morocco
Attendees: 20 delegates
