Mediterranean Circle Meeting 2016
This year’s Mediterranean Circle meeting was held in Madrid. It was organised by MGI Europe Area and co-hosted by MGI Audicon & Partners from Madrid. The meeting attracted 18 participants from 12 firms representing Italy, France, Spain Switzerland, Germany, UK, Malta, Portugal.
The evening before the conference, the team had an excellent dinner organised by MGI Audicon & Partners, Izabel Lopez Ramirez and Manuel Conessa, at the prestigious Club Financiero Génova, situated on the roof-top of one of central Madrid’s tallest buildings and offering spectacular views over the city.
The next day, following the welcome note from the Circle coordinators, Zoltan Paksy, European Executive Director, facilitated a workshop. The group was split into three teams who discussed their expectations and suggestions for Mediterranean Circle meetings such as: walking dinners, opportunities for open discussions, how to attract more members to attend meetings and the possibilities of having a joint meeting with MENA Area.
After the coffee break the teams started to discuss different aspects of collaboration among MGI members. They debated how to improve collaboration, the kinds of challenges members face when collaborating with fellow MGI members and what sorts of opportunities they see in the future.
After lunch, Maxine Brock, MGI International Marketing Director, shared recent examples of the application of the new MGI branding by different members. Then Thomas Althoff, member of the IC, updated participants about the work within the International Committee and Zoltan Paksy, talked a little about what the European Coordinators Committee is presently doing.
The meeting was finished by individual evaluation of the day and a discussion on how to move forward with the organisation of next year’s Mediterranean Circle Meeting.
