MGI World Asia and Australasia regions in the world map

We are delighted to announce that July’s edition of the International Accounting Bulletin (IAB) has featured comments from two of our global accountancy association member firms.

Lorin Joyce, MGI Joyce|Dickson

Speaking of how the accounting profession has lost the battle in the advisory sector for superannuation advice Lorin, Partner at MGI Joyce|Dickson and Chairman for MGI Australasia, comments.

“This area needs a lot of work so that clients can receive advice that is relevant and cost effective. The current licensing requirements are cumbersome and inefficient to deliver quality and cost-effective outcomes to superannuation clients.”

Imran Assan, MGI Alliance PAC

Imran from member firm in Singapore, MGI Alliance PAC also shared his thoughts, discussing how FinTech’s and start-up businesses are attractive options for millennial graduates looking to embark on a long-term career.

“Experienced hires tend not to change firms once they reach a certain level of seniority, which is especially true in the current uncertain climate.”

Thriving in the Australasia region

Our global accountancy network and association continues to rank highly in Australia ranking 4th in terms of total fee income/growth and 5th in relation to staff data, whilst in New Zealand, our member firm MGI Auckland proudly places us in 2nd position for fee income and 4th in terms of staff data.

MGI Asia continues strong

In Singapore, MGI Worldwide with CPAAI holds an impressive 2nd position amongst the top international accountancy associations, with SGD 13.7 million in fee income last year and 4th place for staff numbers.
