HK Finance has devised and, in cooperation with Sopot University of Applied Science, implemented an innovative educational program to give the unemployed an opportunity to become qualified staff at various BPO/SSC centres.
As a partner of the program HK Finance not only offered active support for the scheme but also established significant cooperation from major players such as Sony, Kemira, Hempel, Arla, Bayer, Energa, First Data and Metsa within the Tricity of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia.
The launch of a BPO Educational Center at the Sopot University of Applied Science may seem a radical step but it was driven by market needs.
The program offered an internship, paid for by the Labour Office, and almost all candidates were ultimately employed by companies that have attained significant positions in the BPO industry.
“As a strategic partner, we at HK Finance offered support in two areas: the recruitment process and the training program. In our activities we strive to spread good practices and corporate social responsibility. At the CEE Outsourcing and Shared Services Awards Gala organised by Business Polska, the BPO Educational Centre was nominated in the category of ‘Best University-Business Cooperation of the Year’”.
