An agreement was signed between Palestine-based MGI Worldwide global accountancy network member firm Abdelghani Shamali & Co. Auditing Bureau and the Palestine Technical University Kadoorie (PTUK) as part of the Integrative Education Program (Mihnati) for university students.
PTUK received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund, which is funded by the World Bank for the project titled: “Mihnati – My Profession for Integrated Education. The Mihnati project combines education with practical work experience to help graduates be work-ready and meet the industry needs.
Mr. Abdelghani, who was interviewed by the Palestinian TV channel, said that “this initiative is a great way to ensure that young accounting students not only have the knowledge but also the skills to apply what they are learning at university”. It also helps fill the issue of staff shortage that most employers are facing. He hoped those who undergo training at his firm have an increased opportunity to compete in the labour market after graduation.
