You recall that 2011 was a particularly successful year for MGI members in terms of award wins and 2012 looks set to produce similar results, writes Paul Winder.

Milsted Langdon has won the UK Large Firm category at Accounting WEB Practice Excellence Awards for the second year running. The firm has also been shortlisted in the Mid-Tier Firm category at this year’s British Accountancy Awards, which take place in London on 21 November.

Rob Kendall of HB&O has been shortlisted for the Managing Partner of the Year category at the 2020Group Annual Innovation Awards, which take place in Coventry on 11 October. This has been a particularly successful year for HB&O, with the firm winning the Legal and Finance Award at this year’s Coventry Telegraph Business Awards in May and employee Michelle Vincent winning Young Professional of the Year at the Coventry and Warwickshire First Pro Awards in April.

I would like to congratulate Milsted Langdon on their win and wish those who have been shortlisted for other awards all the best on the night. Once again, this demonstrates the high calibre of member firms and people in MGI in our region.
