We were well fed and watered during a sunny October in Cyprus, writes Paul Winder.

The main focus of the AGM was a new initiative which was put forward by Clive II. All members have these details already, so I don’t intend to repeat them, but I can confirm that all the motions put forward were carried, most unanimously. The only area of contention was in relation to feedback on member firms by other members.

Since the AGM, this is something that Clive has been looking at, liaising with specific members, area co-ordinators and a few other interested individuals.

Overall, the conference provided great opportunities for renewing old contacts and making new ones.

Apart from the conference itself, it was definitely a pleasure to have a brief swim in the Mediterranean– although this was sadly spoiled by a shoal of accountants who kept swimming far too close!
