MGI UK & Ireland is pleased to welcome its newest member, Scottish firm Jeffrey Crawford & Co, writes Paul Winder.

Established in 1979, the Edinburgh-based firm provides a comprehensive range of services, including tax, audit, accountancy and financial advice, with particular expertise in international tax.

Such is the firm’s expertise that it is regularly called upon on a consultancy basis by other accountants and professional practices, major blue chip companies and international corporations.

The firm is headed by Bob Crawford, who regularly lectures on matters ranging from international tax to VAT investigations and sits on the Tax Tribunal and several technical committees of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

I am sure you will all join me in welcoming Bob and the team to MGI UK& Ireland– our lucky 13th member firm and our first in Scotland too, further extending our reach across our region.

Members who attended the recent tax forum in Dublin will have been introduced to Bob and his colleague, Duncan Campbell. Jeffrey Crawford & Co will also be introducing themselves to the wider MGI membership at the UK & Ireland Conference, where they will also be joined by Margaret Ross, who heads up their audit department. I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities in the coming months to get to know their team and, of course, find out how you can work together.
