MGI members had a “hole” lot of fun at the alliance’s annual inter-firm golf day.
As last year’s winners, HB&O hosted the MGI Golf Day, which took place on 14 May at Stratford-upon-Avon’s Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club.
Alongside HB&O golfers, representatives of Bishops, CBW, Midgley Snelling, Muras Baker Jones, Rickard Keen, Rowleys and Seymour Taylor took part.
Oliver Ross of Muras Baker Jones won the longest drive, Keith French of Rickard Keen Financial Services won nearest the pin and Thomas Dawe of HB&O won the highest individual score. The performance of Seymour Taylor’s Simon Turner and Liza Rowles as the highest average scoring team won them overall first place and they will host the event next year.
The original idea for the tournament came from HB&O director Mark Ashfield, a keen golfer, as a way to bring UK and Ireland MGI members together in an informal but competitive setting. This has now become an annual event on the MGI UK & Ireland calendar and we look forward to next year’s event in the High Wycombe area.
