A talented rugby player has jetted off to South Africa to take part in a developmental rugby tour, thanks to sponsorship from Watson Buckle.

Will Bowie, son of Watson Buckle employee Jennifer Bowie, is currently in South Africa with Bradford Grammar School’s Under 17 side.

A 2nd Row or Number 8, Will flew out to South Africa for the school’s Development Tour on 2nd August and returned on 18th August.

Vice-captain of England U-16 Lions, Will has also played for Yorkshire U-15/16s and North of England U-16s. Strong academically, Will is hoping for some impressive GCSE results before studying AS levels in Maths, History, Economics and Politics. He hopes to then study for a degree including economics.

Susan Sedgwick, managing partner at Watson Buckle, said: “When Jennifer approached us about sponsoring Will we had no hesitation in agreeing.

“Will is an extremely talented rugby player and this tour has helped him develop as a player and give him the opportunity to experience a different culture.”
