Our holding company the Hampden Group, is delighted to announce an investment made in the first new private bank to receive a full banking licence under the Prudential Regulatory Authority’s mobilisation process.

Hampden & Co is the first private bank to be set up in the UK for more than 30 years and will address the significant demand in the UK for a new, high quality banking service.  The bank, which will trade under the name Hampden & Co, has now launched and is ready for business in London and Edinburgh.

We intend to fill the void in personal and ‘family’ banking and hope that this investment will provide an excellent opportunity for us and our clients who could become customers and, should they wish, shareholders.

The Hampden Group, which Seymour Taylor are part of, is an investor in Hampden & Co, enabling us to refer our clients and contacts for this banking service.  This creates even more diverse financial opportunities for the firm as we help individuals and businesses explore growth and development in the current climate.

As part of our ongoing commitment to our clients and our staff, Seymour Taylor are delighted to announce some exciting changes which have taken place within the firm recently:

Tim -fulker

Firstly, many congratulations to Tim Fulker who has been promoted to Associate Director. Tim is starting to build a portfolio of his own clients, as well as continuing to help manage existing client relationships. Along with assisting clients reach their business or personal goals, Tim will also be a statutory auditor in the near future.

Mike -marshall

We celebrate Mike Marshall, Head of Audit & Accounts, on dedicating 30 years with Seymour Taylor and had the great pleasure of presenting him with a steam train driving experience later in the summer.

Joanne Kingsworth

Well done to Joanne Kingsnorth, who is now Senior Manager of the Audit & Accounts department. She will be more heavily involved in work within our holding company, the Hampden Group as well as client management.

It has been two years since Seymour Taylor merged with Colston Bush and we are pleased to communicate that all staff from Marlow have remained with the firm and settled in well. Partners David Postlethwaite, Martin Spittle and Ian Petty are enjoying their retirement as planned. Approximately 70% of the practice’s clients are still with us and our specialist team have helped a number of clients with high level tax issues, restructuring and sale of a businesses. It’s great to say that overall the arrangement has helped achieve the main aim of all parties.
