Watson Buckle has promoted two of its experienced accountants to the position of Business Services Manager.

Freda Akram and Sandra Robinson have both been appointed to lead the firm’s successful Business Services Department, which provides assistance to businesses from a broad range of sectors.

Freda has been with Watson Buckle for the last ten years, having joined as a Senior Accountant in June 2005. She works with a number of clients including sole traders, limited companies and charities.

Since 2011, she has been part of a team responsible for training junior members and is currently studying for the CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification, having already completed the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants) qualifications.

Sandra Robinson is a relatively new addition to the practice’s team, having joined during the merger with Paul T Spivey Limited on 1 April 2015.

Sandra has more than 14 years’ experience in industry, an additional ten years’ experience in practice and has specialist expertise in a number of areas, including accounts preparation, VAT compliance, Construction Industry Scheme issues and payroll services. She is also an active member of the Institute of Chartered Bookkeepers.

Susan Sedgwicksaid: “Everyone at Watson Buckle is delighted to see Sandra and Freda receive the promotion to Business Service Manager.

“They have both demonstrated a real dedication to their job and they continue to work hard on a daily basis to deliver exceptional service to clients.

“I am sure that under their guidance and leadership our Business Services Department will continue to flourish and grow in the coming years.”
