As well as being chartered accountants, Muras Baker Jones (MBJ) has also emerged as a firm of keen runners, too.
Swapping tax for tracksuits, MBJ put together a team of four to take part in the 25th annual Pattingham Bells Run. The team, comprising Charlie Thompson (Assistant Tax Manager), Adrian Simcox (Insolvency Manager), Matt Baker (Corporate Services Senior) and Chris Goldie (Audit Senior), completed the seven mile course to raise money for local charities and the village church. Additional sponsorship was made in aid of the Movement Centre in Oswestry, which has helped children with Cerebral Palsy and other movement control problems learn to stand and walk since 1999.
Organised by Church members, a total of 449 runners took part in this year’s run and raised around £3,000 for charity.
Jenny Marks, Tax Director at MBJ said: “Members of our firm have supported this event since its inception in a personal capacity and we have an enthusiastic group of staff that are always willing to join in. Some of the team are already planning their next event.”
