For the eighth year in a row, Midgley Snelling LLP was part of the Mundays 5K charity fun run that took place on 20 May in Bushy Park, Hampton.
This annual event, organised by Cobham solicitors Mundays LLP, saw 204 entrants raise around £8,000 for an Esher-based charity.
The Midgley Snelling LLP 2015 team consisted of five staff and partners from the firm – James Clerkin, Kate Drozd, Jonathan Farrow, Stacey Monk, and Tracey Wickens – and all completed the course in good time and were running in aid of the Princess Alice Hospice, which has provided free end of life care to adult patients since 1985.
Partner Tracey Wickens said: “We have supported this event every year it has been ‘run’ since 2008. The concept of the fun run is in line with our Midsnell Activity Fund which promotes activity within the local community. We have an enthusiastic group of staff that are always willing to join in and personal bests were achieved by several of the team this year. We invite all staff in the firm to take the time to run in this event and our team comprised partners, long standing staff and our newest member of staff from our tax department. We would like to pass on our thanks to Mundays for once again organising this event and our congratulations to all of the other runners who took part.”
In addition,a team from Rickard Keen have helped raise thousands of pounds for a hospice by taking part in a charity football match.
Jamie Nice, Scarlett O’Callaghan and Dean McCormack, together with a team of business professionals from Southend, took on a squad of bankers from Barclays at Roots Hall Stadium as part of the Play on the Pitch event on 21 May.
This is the second year in a row that Rickard Keen has taken part in the event that raises funds for Havens Hospices; a charity that provides end of life care for adults and children with life limiting conditions across Essex.
Hundreds of supporters turned out for the game, which was won 2-1 by Barclays after they scored a last minute penalty.
