Leveraging MGI membership and maintaining marketing momentum were the two main topics of discussion at MGI UK & Ireland’s recent Marketing Forum.
The morning focused on how member firms make use of MGI – how they can leverage their membership both in their firm marketing and in collaboration with other members and how MGI can be used as a tool to gain an advantage over competitors.
Maxine Brock, MGI Worldwide International Marketing Director, presented examples of what other MGI members are doing around the world, covering areas from websites to brochures, videos to social media. At the end of the morning, we had an introduction to the marketing material and systems that Abbeytax are making available to current and future users. These tools enable regular, industry specific marketing, to targeted clients and are well worth a second look.
In the afternoon, the group welcomed Vicki Banthorpe, an independent marketing consultant, who facilitated a session on Maintaining Marketing Momentum. Vicki talked about marketing strategies that are working for MGI members and gave examples of successful marketing she has seen in other companies. Areas of marketing covered included direct marketing, digital marketing, support materials, events and profile raising.
