Regional meetings are a cornerstone of MGI Worldwide’s calendar. These meetings are important as it brings together member firms with a common background and provides opportunity for the exchange of regional centric ideas.
The 2024 Africa region meeting with the theme “Upcoming Trends & Challenges: Leveraging Technology and Automation” will give attendees the opportunity to deliberate on the emerging trends and challenges in the industry and explore ways to successfully navigate the evolving landscape by adopting innovative strategies, leveraging technology advancements, and fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous learning.
Hosted by MGI RAS, the meeting will be held at the Montecasino a popular entertainment complex located in Fourways, a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. The complex is designed to resemble an old Italian village, complete with cobblestone streets, and is home to a casino, theatres, restaurants, hotels, and a variety of entertainment options.
Johannesburg, South Africa's biggest city and the commercial capital of South Africa, began as a 19th-century gold-mining settlement. Today, Johannesburg is South Africa's major commercial, financial, and industrial centre, producing 16% of South Africa's gross domestic product, and accounts for 40% of Gauteng's economic activity.
Local factories in Johannesburg produce a great variety of goods ranging from textiles to specialty steels. Virtually all the country’s banks, insurance companies, and building societies have their head offices in the city. The Johannesburg Stock Exchange, founded in 1887 lists more than 600 companies.
