Most firms have an AI mandate. Almost none have an AI-ready team. This session closes that gap in the most direct way possible by building a working AI agent for a real accounting workflow, live and from scratch. No coding background is required, just a practical understanding of what AI agents can and cannot do across audit, tax, and advisory today.

Along the way, we will cover how to identify which workflows in your practice are worth automating first, where the build versus buy decision actually falls within an accounting firm, and the CAIRA (Certified AI-Ready Accountant) AI Competency Framework, a three-level pathway from using AI in day-to-day work, to building AI agents and workflows, to operating a governed firm-wide AI model.

Attendees will leave having watched an AI agent go from a blank screen to a working solution, along with a practical framework for prioritising AI use cases and a clear next step toward making their teams AI-ready. This session will qualify for 1.5 CPE NASBA-approved credits.
