A new way to meet, learn and work together. The 2026 International Tax Seminar is not a conference. It is a working seminar — designed as an interactive workshop in which members of our international network solve real cross-border tax cases together.

We are delighted to invite you to the 2026 International Tax Seminar on 11–12 June 2026 at Châteauform' Landhuis Marienheuvel, a beautiful countryside estate just outside Amsterdam. This year we are changing the format significantly. Instead of spending the day listening to presentations, you will spend it working — in small, internationally mixed groups, on cases that look and feel like the ones that land on your desk every week.

What is different this year

In previous years the seminar revolved around technical presentations in the morning and case study presentations in the afternoon. It was informative — but it kept most participants in a listening role.

The 2026 format flips this:

  • Short technical inputs replace full-length lectures
  • You work in internationally mixed groups of up to eight people
  • Each group analyses the same cross-border case from its national perspective
  • Groups compare approaches, spot the differences and agree on practical solutions
  • Bart Kosters (IBFD) moderates and sharpens the technical discussion

The result is a day where you actively build knowledge, rather than passively receive it — and where you leave with new professional contacts across the network who have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with you on a real problem.

Why this matters

International tax work in our network is cross-border by definition. The quality of our advice depends on how quickly and confidently our people can collaborate across jurisdictions. This seminar builds exactly that capability — in a setting where it is safe to test ideas, ask questions and learn from how colleagues in other countries think.
