MGI's BHP formally merge with renowned law firm Menold Bezler on 1 January 2020

MGI Worldwide’s Stuttgart-based auditing and tax consulting firm Prof. Dr. Binder, Dr. Dr. Hillebrecht & Partner GmbH (BHP) and renowned law firm Menold Bezler merge on January 1, 2020.

On November 26, 2019, there was a unanimous decision in the partnerships of both firms. This creates a full-service provider for legal advice, tax advice, auditing and business consulting with over 120 professionals and a total of about 300 employees.

Through its international network, MGI Worldwide, the newly combined firm is connected with more than 9,000 employees in over 100 countries worldwide. From the turn of the year the firm will operate under the name "Menold Bezler Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater Wirtschaftsprüfer Partnerschaft mbB". Professionals from all disciplines will be represented in the management of the new unit. From July 2020, all employees will be working in a common location in the previous offices of Menold Bezler. Since February 2019, a close cooperation has existed between the two firms after previous years of collaboration.

"The cooperation phase was a complete success, and the merger is therefore the logical consequence of many successful joint mandates for our medium-sized clients and the public sector," said Co-Managing Partner Dr. Frank Schäffler on this strategically important decision.

BHP partner Albrecht Bacher confirms: "Already in the time of the cooperation, our clients have very well accepted the broadened range of consulting services and appreciate the interdisciplinary approach. We also receive a positive echo from the merger from our network partners and employees."
