Exciting news from MGI Worldwide CPAAI as Sweden’s Revideco appoints Jakob Olsson as ‘International Accounting Services Coordinator’ in move to support growing business and cooperation among Firms

Revideco appoints new International Accounting Services Coordinator.

MGI Worldwide CPAAI Member Firm Revideco in Sweden, with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Skellefteå, are paving the way to support a growing number of international business leads and enquiries with the appointment of Jakob Olsson as International Accounting Services Coordinator.

This exciting new appointment brings many possibilities for future cooperation opportunities among fellow members of the MGI Worldwide and CPAAI global accounting network, and other colleagues and referral sources around the world.

Jakob Olsson recently took some time out of his busy schedule to talk to us about his new role, his hopes for future cooperation between MGI Worldwide and CPAAI firms, and his views on the exciting opportunities provided by today’s digital markets.

Q: It's an exciting time for you and Revideco, how do you see the role evolving?

Jakob: We are on a very exciting journey right now. We are seeing more international businesses searching for our services and more leads looking for a “One-stop shop” solution for their accounting needs. It shows us that they are more interested in working with an independent full-service provider who can provide everything for them such as accounting, auditing, payroll and advising. A few years ago we were receiving only a handful of enquiries, and today we are receiving more than one hundred from our international leads.

This is the first time that Revideco has appointed an International Accounting Services Coordinator and for me it is an honour and I really looking forward to creating something new which hopefully can attract even more leads. My goal is to provide high qualified problem solving, navigate professionally and always do it with a big smile.

Q: Can this help strengthen cooperation between MGI Worldwide and CPAAI firms?

Jakob: I absolutely think and hope so. We are living in a “new” digital world where the boundaries start to disappear. More and more companies are getting digital and international, and they can easily reach out to the world with their products and services. This is a great opportunity for all independent accounting service providers to recommend and lead our clients to another MGI Worldwide CPAAI firm when they are going international. In this phase it´s perfect to have a coordinator who could start to navigate and provide services for them. The possibilities for great cooperation between MGI/CPAAI firms is, according to me, unlimited. All firms in MGI/CPAAI are providing high qualified services, I think we only need to be more visible for each other. I really hope we can strengthen our cooperation and meet the future together.

Q: What are the possibilities for other MGI Worldwide CPAAI firms and what advice do you have?

Jakob: When it comes to international leads, the possibilities are boundless. For example, just see how multi-international companies such as Amazon and Alibaba are growing. To meet their demands of new products and services they need more and more subcontractors established over the world. To be honest, there is a lot of new companies out there who need our services even if we are in worldwide pandemic.

My best advice is to start simple, create a plan, be curious and dare to challenge the “new” digital market. A good start, for example, is to be more active in social channels and let potential leads get to know your firm. We started by developing our website and using a cloud-based accounting system, which is translated into Swedish and English. From this we basically started to work more with social media and digital marketing which has created growth from a handful of enquiries to more than one hundred international leads. Other advice is to appoint someone at your firm as a Coordinator of international leads. If the network has more Coordinators, we can start networking even more and strengthen our cooperation between MGI Worldwide and CPAAI firms.

Q: What are your passions?

Netflix-marathons, Training, Travels to the US and fine dining of course!
