Accru Hobart celebrates 50 years of excellence and community

Hobart, Tasmania — Accru Hobart, a valued member firm of the MGI Worldwide network, recently celebrated an extraordinary milestone: their 50th anniversary.

This landmark achievement was commemorated on 23rd May 2025, at the stunning Waterside Pavilion on Hobart’s waterfront.

The event was a heartfelt gathering, bringing together clients, staff, alumni, and Accru national colleagues to honour five decades of outstanding service in accounting and advisory. Guests enjoyed a delightful cocktail reception featuring local Tasmanian fare, alongside a visual retrospective that beautifully captured the firm’s journey over the past 50 years.

A particularly moving moment came with the attendance and speech by special guest Michael Burnett, a former partner of the firm. He shared reflections on Accru Hobart’s enduring values and presented two key awards. The Michael Burnett Award for outstanding contribution and leadership was awarded to Alec Willing, and the Rising Star Award, recognising potential future leaders, was presented to Tyler Willmott.

The celebration was a fitting tribute to Accru Hobart's rich legacy and their continued commitment to excellence within the MGI Worldwide network.
