Alexander Knight & Co. makes a difference in Manchester
It’s always great to see MGI Worldwide member firms turning their ESG commitments into positive action in the communities where they live and work.
Following our recent celebration of ESG progress across the MGI community, UK member firm Alexander Knight & Co has provided a great example of what that commitment can look like in practice – with members of the team rolling up their sleeves to help improve their local railway station in Hale, Greater Manchester.
The team swapped calculators for paintbrushes, spending three days on site painting and decorating parts of Hale Station, as well as sweeping, cleaning and tidying the surrounding areas.
The volunteering forms part of Alexander Knight & Co’s wider ESG programme and builds on the firm’s close relationship with the station, which it has officially sponsored since 2025. With its offices overlooking the railway and many of its team and clients regularly using the station, it is a cause with a strong connection to the firm and its local community.
Working alongside the Friends of Hale Station, the firm has also supported other improvements, including refreshing displays celebrating the station’s history and installing a bug hotel to encourage local biodiversity.
