Brazilian firms drive regional collaboration through strategic insights and specialist knowledge
Brazil is one of Latin America's most significant economies and one of the world's most influential markets. With a population of more than 210 million people, a diversified economy, and a leading role in sectors such as agribusiness, manufacturing, energy and services, it continues to attract strong interest from businesses and investors around the globe.
Within MGI, Brazil is represented by seven member firms that bring together extensive technical expertise, deep local market knowledge and sector-specific specialisms. Throughout the year, these firms have strengthened their collaboration through a range of initiatives designed to create value for fellow members and international clients, encouraging knowledge sharing and providing strategic insights into Brazil's business environment.
As part of this collaborative effort, we are pleased to share the first in a series of specialist reports that will be published over the coming months. Prepared by Bernardes Sociedade de Advogados (BSA), a Curitiba-based firm led by Raphael Bernardes da Silveira, the report examines the key tax developments shaping Brazil's business landscape in 2026 and their implications for both local and international companies.

Entitled "Brazil Tax Outlook 2026: Key changes and strategic opportunities", the report explores a number of issues with significant business impact, including the implementation of tax reform, dividend taxation, changes to corporate tax regimes, new customs requirements and opportunities arising from the Mercosur–European Union agreement.
