Latin America Record-high
By Maxine Brock, International Marketing Manager, MGI.
This year's Latin America Area Meeting took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Montevideo this May. I talk to Clive Bennett, CEO at MGI about the key highlights from the event this year.
The 3 day event, organised by Tomás Manrique, Area Coordinator for MGI Latin America was a great success. Attracting a record-high number of delegates with more than 60 attendees from 23 of the 25 MGI firms, across 15 countries within Latin America.
The event provided delegates with a great opportunity to network and strengthen bonds, starting with a keynote address (in Spanish) by Clive himself. Including key updates on the developing strategy and an upbeat vision for gradual transition to a full network structure, together with some strong messages about member quality.
Clive Bennett says “MGI Latin America has seen significant growth in membership over recent years thanks to the great job Carlos, Ricardo, José and Tomás are doing. The enthusiasm and energy was clear to see and I hope the momentum continues to grow.”
Tomás Manrique presented some of the impressive marketing and member development initiatives and also shared some great success stories from across the region.
Last but not least, I am told, from my well travelled source, the event would have not been the same without some astonishing tango dancing and eating the best meat Clive Bennett has ever tasted, washed down with exquisite Uruguayan wine! It sounds like a great time was had by all.
