Member focus: UK & Ireland’s newest member quickly becomes an active part of the MGI community
With a total of 6 offices located across the Midlands, Cottons Group is the latest firm to join the UK & Ireland region. Coming on board in October 2025, it has been great to see the firm already taking part and engaging across the community.
Since joining, Cottons has actively taken part in UK & Ireland’s Academy, MGI’s 2025 Global AGM in Cape Town, this year’s Talent Meeting in London, and recently hosted MGI Worldwide leadership at its own 2026 Cottons Group Conference.
With this collaborative mindset, strong technical expertise and a growing need to support clients with international interests, Cottons is a natural fit for MGI’s global community.
Growing its business with MGI
Cottons Group works closely with entrepreneurial clients, providing clear, practical guidance that supports long-term growth and strategic decision-making. Its strengths include tax advisory, audit, restructuring, and succession planning for owner-managed and family businesses.
Joining MGI marks an important step in the firm’s growth and development. Head of Tax Services and MGI key contact, Luke Prout, says:
“Joining MGI Worldwide represents an important step in our continued growth. As our client base evolves, it was important for us to be part of a well-established global network that can provide trusted support across multiple jurisdictions.”
He adds:
“What attracted us most was the quality of the member firms, the strength of the international reach, and the collaborative nature of the network.”
Growing its people with MGI
Earlier this year, several team members took part in the 2026 Talent Meeting in London, part of MGI’s NextGen activity, giving them the chance to build connections across the network and bring fresh insight back to the team. Hubert Lewandowski who attended comments:
“I had the fantastic opportunity to attend this year’s MGI Talent Meeting in London! It was a brilliant experience connecting with so many talented professionals from across the MGI Europe network and engaging in some truly insightful skill-building sessions.”
Wishing MGI to be an integral part of the firm, Cottons also recently invited MGI Worldwide CEO Maxine Brock and UK & Ireland Regional Coordinator, Rachel Pugh, to present at its 2026 annual conference, giving the wider Cottons team the chance to engage directly with the network.
“It was a privilege for Maxine and me to be invited to talk about MGI Worldwide and the value we bring to firms, their people and their clients at the Cottons Group 2026 conference and fantastic to meet the whole team!”

Looking ahead
This level of involvement reflects a firm that is not simply part of MGI in name but is already making the most of membership and looking for ways to engage and contribute. Cottons Group’s early involvement already reflects much of what makes MGI Worldwide strong: trusted relationships, shared expertise and a genuine willingness to collaborate.
We look forward to seeing those connections continue to grow across the network.
