MGI Asia member firms gather in Siem Reap to “Navigate Change”
The 2025 MGI Asia Region Meeting, held on 29–30 August at the Sokha Angkor Resort in Siem Reap, brought together 44 delegates representing over 75% of Asia’s member firms for two days of high-impact discussions, networking, and cultural exchange.

Navigating change in Asia’s accounting future
Built around the theme “Navigating Change: Asia’s Accounting Future,” the conference explored how firms across Asia can adapt to rapid transformation in technology, regulation, and client expectations. The sessions highlighted both the opportunities and challenges of digital innovation, AI, AI accounting solutions and e-marketing, while reinforcing the value of collaboration within the MGI Worldwide network to help members stay ahead in a fast-evolving profession.

Insights from keynote speakers
Speakers included Vissoth Nam (CEO, AirAsia Cambodia) on the evolving Asian business landscape, Dale Pearson (Intuit/QuickBooks) on AI and innovation, Chankiriroth Sim (BanhJi) on digital reporting and latest AI tools for accounting practitioners, and Divya Somani (Rangamani & Associates) on building AI-ready practices. MGI Worldwide CEO Maxine Brock shared the network’s global progress and priorities, reinforcing Asia’s central role in its growth strategy.

The meeting was noted for its balance of technical sessions and networking opportunities, together with valuable peer learning and collaboration. The sessions highlighted the region’s readiness to innovate and adapt, while remaining connected to a truly global network in times of change.
