MGI Auckland Assurance celebrates landmark City Rail Link opening

It's an exciting milestone for Auckland and a proud moment for MGI Auckland Assurance Limited, part of the MGI+MORE group, following the opening of the city's long-awaited City Rail Link (CRL).

One of New Zealand's largest infrastructure projects, the CRL officially opened on 11 September 2026, with passenger services beginning two days later. The new rail link is set to transform how people travel around Auckland, making it easier to get around and improving connections across the city.

Playing a part behind the scenes

Since June 2019, MGI Auckland Assurance Limited has served as an independent auditor on the project, providing assurance and helping to support strong governance and accountability throughout its development.

For the team, seeing years of hard work come together has been particularly rewarding.
