MGI Bargalló Cardoso y Asociados in Mexico takes its traditional yearly conference online, attracting 170 attendees!

On 3 February MGI Bargalló Cardoso y Asociados, MGI Worldwide member firm in Mexico City, held its traditional start-of-year conference, an event they have been holding for more than 30 years.

The event, usually held in-person, provides reviews and perspectives on the economic, political, and financial situation in Mexico - this year particular focus was given to the country's economy. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the conference was once again held once again virtually but attracted some 170 attendees!

José Carlos Cardoso and Jaime Bargalló, Managing Partners of the firm, began the conference by welcoming the 170 attendees and sharing their regret at not being able to share the customary cocktail with friends and clients.

The conference was given by Mr. Mauricio González Gómez, Executive President of GEA (Group of Associated Economists), a friend of the firm and a professional with an outstanding career both in the local market and worldwide. A review of the international economic environment, an analysis of the current situation in the country and reflections on the main challenges of Mexico were part of the shared content, which was then followed by a Q&A.

Positive response

The MGI Bargalló Cardoso y Asociados team was pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response to the event which was described as "extraordinary" by clients and friends who quickly sent congratulations and numerous positive comments.

Following the conference, Partner Rafael Castellanos, reflected on the successful way that this traditionally in-person event had been adapted for a digital platform and commented that the firm is now considering ways in which to redesign its communication strategy to include more virtual content.
