MGI Latin America holds a successful virtual Region Meeting gathering an impressive 65 participants from across MGI Worldwide and CPAAI

A virtual Latin America Regional Meeting gathers 65 participants from across the regional accounting network

MGI Worldwide and CPAAI network and association members in Latin America gathered together, virtually, on 21 May for the first joint MGI Latin America Regional Meeting.

With the global COVID-19 pandemic preventing the planned Buenos Aires meeting from going ahead, MGI Latin America leaders decided to make use of the Zoom platform to hold a successful meeting, attracting 65 participants from 29 firms across the region.

In addition to discussing specific issues related to the management of the region, Juan Carlos Guerra, one of Latin America's IC Representatives, gave a short report on the recent IC meeting and members exchanged ideas and shared experiences arising from the COVID-19 outbreak.

Welcoming new faces

Moving the meeting online meant that many more members were able to attend, creating a great opportunity for MGI and CPAAI partners and staff to participate and meet new faces. Despite the difficult times that firms are going through, regular Zoom meetings are positively contributing to increasing engagement between fellow members and to building stronger business and personal relationships.

Thank you

In this challenging year, in which face-to-face meetings are not possible, we look forward to organising further online events soon, to maintain the flow of positive ideas, to keep sharing and strengthening ties within the region and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who joined the event and helped make it a success.
