MGI Marketing - Update for Members

Now seems a good time to share some of the marketing updates and activities that are already underway.  Take a look at some of the improvements we are making here at MGI.

Marketing is a key discussion point amongst many Members, so there is lots of interest about what I am doing to enhance what MGI does for members.

Here’s an insight into some of the things you will start to see:

Marketing Audit Survey

A Marketing Audit with Area Coordinators has been conducted to help track views on current Marketing and share ideas across our regions. A big thank you to our Area Coordinators for taking part.

Members will also have the chance to have their say over the next coming weeks so watch out for the opportunity to contribute to the audit.

Marketing Planning for 2013/2014

An initial pipeline of activity is underway.  The focus is on improving communications and providing new ways of engaging Members and encouraging more active participation.

Creating greater cohesion around what is happening across our regions and sharing this internationally will become an important part of MGI’s marketing.

MGI Website improvements in areas such as:

Use of Member testimonials

Enhanced global image and associated interactive map

Team profiles - putting a face to a name

Improvements in navigation, content and illustrations

Promotion of important facts

Active showcasing of news

Enhanced Members Area and directory

Area meeting highlights & pictures

 

Knowledge hub for Members

Information portal for members and news with Members, including;

Member news & opinion

Member technical papers & reports

External industry/sector/regional news

 

Member Testimonial Videos

Starting at the European Area Meeting we have filmed some member testimonials that we intend to use across our communications. We will continue to use much more video content as we further enhance our website.

 

Webinars

We will be trialing a new Live Webinar facility in November to showcase CEO Clive Bennett’s Quarterly Newsletter. Opportunities to register for this will be released over the coming months.

 

MGI Member Packs

Enhanced documentation for new and current Members.

 

Annual Report Redesign

We are refreshing the layout and function of the Annual Report this year to become much more market friendly and to include highlights from each area.  The financial report will come as a separate insert so that the main Review can be used as a marketing tool for clients.
