MGI members join global audit quality discussions at Forum of Firms meeting
Representatives from MGI member firms in Peru and Argentina recently took part in the Forum of Firms Audit Quality event held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, joining both in person and virtually to engage with discussions shaping the future of the profession.
Key issues addressed
The event brought together leaders from IFAC, IAASB, IESBA and international accounting networks to explore key issues influencing the evolving audit landscape. Discussions focused on global regulatory developments and their implications for Latin America, sustainability assurance, the growing role of artificial intelligence in auditing, progress in implementing quality management standards and updates to auditing and ethics frameworks.
Regional connections strengthened
Alongside the technical discussions, the event also created a valuable opportunity for our members to reconnect and strengthen relationships. MGI members Angel Saco and Walter Ramirez from MGI Ramirez Saco, who travelled from Peru were able to spend time with Ignacio Rodriguez Spuch, from Casal, Vecchi, Rodriguez Spuch y Asoc. S.R.L. in Buenos Aires, sharing experiences and learning together. It was also great to have Luis Uncal - and team - from MGI Jebsen & Co. join virtually.
Learning, contributing and growing
Events such as these highlight an important benefit of MGI membership — creating opportunities for people to learn, contribute and grow. Through MGI’s membership of the Forum of Firms, members gain access to influential conversations helping shape the future of the profession.
"What we do in our day-to-day work at MGI Ramirez Saco is enriched by this type of exchange — connecting with peers who share the same standards and commitment to quality."
— Angel Saco | MGI Ramirez Saco
These experiences not only strengthen expertise and support individual growth, but also ensure MGI has a voice at the global table, sharing perspectives and bringing valuable insight back to member firms and the clients they support.
