MGI Worldwide members recently took part in IFAC Connect: Africa 2025, an exclusive, invitation-only forum co-hosted by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Over two days, senior leaders from across Africa and beyond gathered to discuss how global accountancy standards can be effectively implemented through regional innovation. The event encouraged high-level dialogue, strategic collaboration, and knowledge-sharing to support sustainable development through the profession.

The value of membership

One of the key benefits of MGI Worldwide membership is that, as part of the Forum of Firms, members have the opportunity to participate in such prestigious international events. We are grateful that Felix Kimoli and Evelyne Kayume from MGI Alekim LLP in Kenya, and Haruna Yahaya from Haruna Yahaya & Co. in Nigeria, gave up their time to represent MGI Worldwide at this important gathering.

CEO Maxine Brock comments:
“A huge thank you to Felix Kimoli, Evelyne Kayume, and Haruna Yahaya. Opportunities like this show the value of being part of MGI Worldwide — opening doors and making an impact!”

Felix Kimoli adds:
“It is good and encouraging to see MGI members either moderating or on the panel in almost all the sessions.”

Our members' involvement reflects the strong presence and contribution of MGI Worldwide members to the future of accountancy in Africa and globally.
