MGI's Seiyu Audit Corporation joins IFAC Global Investor Group Roundtable in Japan

Earlier this month, Partner Keiko Komiyama, from member firm Seiyu Audit Corporation, took time to represent MGI at IFAC's inaugural Global Investor Group (GIG) Roundtable, held in Tokyo, Japan, as part of the Japan Weeks 2025 program hosted by the country's Financial Services Agency.

The event opened valuable dialogue around audit quality and ways to strengthen communication between investors and auditors. In Japan, where opportunities for investors to engage directly with audit committees remain limited, participants exchanged ideas on how to bridge this gap and improve transparency.

“It was a great opportunity to hear and understand how investors think,” said Keiko. “We had many discussions about what level of audit quality investors expect and how auditors can better meet those expectations.”

The group also proposed holding future case discussions to explore which aspects of the audit process investors value most — helping to build mutual understanding and further enhance audit quality.

MGI Worldwide is proud to see members like Keiko contributing to international discussions that strengthen collaboration, transparency and trust across the profession — a true reflection of the global connections that define our #MGIFamily.
