Member focus: GEMRT - building relationships across the Americas
Miami-based GEMRT is one of our newest MGI Worldwide members in North America. After joining MGI at the end of 2025, the firm wasted no time getting involved, making connections, and becoming an active member of the network.
With 10 partners and just over 100 professionals, GEMRT brings significant expertise to MGI. Its partners have already participated in both the 2026 North America Conference in New Orleans and the Latin America Regional Meeting in Puebla, Mexico.
Partner and key contact for MGI, Roy Garcia, recently took some time to share the story behind GEMRT’s decision to become a member, the relationships that helped bring the firm into the network, and its experiences since joining.
What attracted GEMRT to MGI?
“In a word: relationships.
“Our introduction to the network began in 2024, when MGI’s former CEO reached out to me through a mutual connection, client and friend. The network was looking for a strong, Miami-based firm, with deep Hispanic talent and a commitment to serving an increasingly global business community.
“Those initial conversations were very valuable and led to introductions to Joe Tarasco and Andrea Pallas, Regional Directors for North America and Latin America respectively. From there, I began building relationships with MGI members throughout the western hemisphere, particularly in Mexico, and quickly gained an appreciation for the collaborative culture that defines MGI."
