Significant growth results in new move for MGI Member firm CBW in the UK

Staff at UK MGI member firm CBW are settling into some “swanky” new offices after moving from their old premises last month.

Significant growth and a rising workload meant the team - around 100-strong - had outgrown their old office on Buckle Street in London’s Aldgate area and were forced to pack up their desks and head just down the road to some plush new premises.

After a lot of planning and negotiations, the whole team moved to brand new offices just around the corner on Prescott Street, with everyone fitting on a single floor in a newly refurbished building.

Managing partner and member of MGI's International Committee, representing UK & Ireland, Peter Winter and his team did a great job of designing the space and orchestrating the move.

There could be some useful lessons for any other MGI firms looking to carry out a smooth move to new premises. After a “seamless” transition, most staff were up and working with full access to all their files and systems within the first hour at the new office.

“This is an office to be really proud of but, of course, the challenge will be to keep our desks clear and tidy,” said one staff member.
