MGI Worldwide CEO Clive Bennett: ‘Global brand, regional strength, personal relationships’

MGI Worldwide Chief Executive Officer Clive Bennett discusses the benefits of membership in a new video.

What are the benefits of being a member of a top 20 global accounting network of independent audit, tax and accounting firms?

To answer this question, we thought we’d ask Clive Bennett, the CEO of MGI Worldwide, who explains that the international perspective is essential.

“The world is becoming ever more global. These days small and medium enterprises, even startups, are going international. Statistics suggest up to 50% of revenues for SMEs will be from international business,” he explains in the video, which you can view below.

“If service companies like accountants and accountancy firms are not able to support international business, they will be missing out on an important sector.”

MGI is a truly global network with a presence in more than 80 countries and more than 300 locations to support any member firm wherever they are in the world.

It enables a firm who joins MGI to move up the rankings in their own markets by being able to offer services to larger firms, to firms that are already international, to firms that are expanding,” explains Clive.

The personal approach is also vital when dealing with the middle of the market - the SMEs and family businesses that form the backbone of MGI’s clients.

“Our member firms have a personal relationship with the clients that big firms cannot have. Our members are owner-managers - they know what our clients go through, they know what it’s like to own a business,” he says.

MGI also has a strong regional structure and Clive notes that membership can bring together the advantages of a global brand and regional strength.

Quality assurance is another key factor - clients can rely on the quality of service when dealing with other members.

Finally, Clive mentions the importance of building strong personal relations with other members, through attending meetings, regional practice groups and the AGM.

“You do good business with people you know, you do the best business with people you have friendships with,” he says.

MGI Worldwide is a global network of independent audit, tax and accounting firms with some 5,000 independent auditors, accountants and tax experts in over 250 locations. For more information visit our website www.mgiworld.com or contact Clive Bennett on [email protected]
