Verstegen helps Dutch firms cross-border with MGI

MGI European member Sjoerd Kuiper in the Netherlands talks about the alliance and how essential it is.

Sjoerd Kuiper, Tax Advisor at Verstegen Auditors and Consultants, spoke to MGI about how being part of a global accounting organisation is essential for helping clients in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands may be a relatively small country but its businesses are very international as they look beyond its borders to other markets.

Sjoerd Kuiper, Tax Advisor at Verstegen Auditors and Consultants, notes that because of this “clients expect us to be able to serve them abroad”.

“Through the global alliance we can deliver the service they require,” he says.

“If they have a VAT question regarding another country in Europe or outside Europe, it’s a small question we can pick up the phone and call someone about it,” adds Sjoerd. “But also if the client wants to incorporate a subsidiary somewhere else we have the contacts to help them.”

He goes on to say that attending regional and global meetings is vital for the firm as it's important to know who they are directing questions and clients to.
