MGI Jebsen & Co. is celebrating 45 years at the top of Argentina’s audit and accounting sector this March. The firm, which joined MGI Worldwide back in 1987, has played a prominent part in the MGI Latin America Circle for almost 30 years.
MGI Jebsen & Co. was founded in Buenos Aires in 1971 by Martin Jebsen, who still leads the firm as one of its three managing partners along with (since 2002) A. Rafael Faillace and Luis Uncal, with a team of 50 staff members.
Active participants in the global accounting network, Martin Jebsen has acted as member of the MGI International Committee, Managing Committee and was Chairman from 2001 to 2003, while Luis Uncal has been a member of the Technical Committee since December 2014.
To mark its 45th anniversary, the firm has decided to forego a party and instead donate the money it would have spent to two charities. There, however, are already plans for a big bash to mark the 50th birthday in 2021.
Furthermore, the firm will publish articles published in different magazines issued by trade bodies such as the Argentine-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Swiss-Argentine Chamber of Commerce, among others.
Since its formation, the firm has had a particular focus on two main practice areas; Audit & Tax and Corporate Law, assisting firms across their region and supporting overseas investment into Argentina and Latin America.
The firm has performed Quality Control Reviews for several MGI members not only in Spain but also in more than 10 countries across Latin America.
Luis Uncal recently spoke to us about the value of membership to a global accounting network for client business, highlighting the number of international companies that the firm serves.
