Member firms located in the GCC produce a paper on the forthcoming GCC Tax Reforms

Member firms located in the Gulf Co-operation Council countries (GCC), which include all Arab states of the Persian Gulf, excluding Iraq, have opted to work together and produce a paper on the forthcoming GCC Tax Reforms.

The paper highlights the GCC Tax Reforms ahead, what Clients need to know and how MGI member firms that are located in the GCC member countries can assist.  It is a useful tool for fellow members and their clients with business interests in the GCC member countries that include, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, but excludes Iraq.

The GCC Finance Ministers held an extraordinary meeting on Thursday 16 June 2016 in Jeddah – KSA to discuss the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Excise Tax treaties. These treaties have been approved in principle, with implementation scheduled from the 1st of January 2018 for most member countries.
