The webinar took place on 4 May and was titled “Expanding your business into North America (United States and Canada)”. A total of 30 members registered from 15 countries across Asia, Australasia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East & North Africa, North America and UK & Ireland.
The webinar provided members with valuable information and best practices when assisting clients who are considering an expansion of their businesses into North America (United States and Canada). The discussion was designed primaritly for Tax Advisors, particularly those from non-US based firms to assist them when consulting with their business clients about overseas expansion.

Areas covered included:
- Corporations
- Partnerships
- LLCs
- Passive income
Tom Neff and Razik Sarsam provided thoughtful insights into the pros and cons of alternative business structures with an emphasis on: choice of entity considerations, income tax, withholding tax, tax treaties, and estate tax.

Several members contributed to the discussion which helped to give a global perspective to the subject.
