Long-standing member of MGI Worldwide IIyas Saeed & Co (ISCO) from Pakistan has opened a new Branch Office in Kabul, Afghanistan and becomes the latest new member to join the international accounting network in the Asia region.
Managing Partner, Muhammad Abdul Basit heads up the newly joined Kabul-based firm known as IIyas Saeed Chartered Accountants (ISCA). Mr. Basit is a specialist in Assurance & Advisory related services and speaks fluent English, Urdu, Dari and Punjabi.
As part of a new growth strategy, the Kabul-based firm are actively pursuing Banks and other Multinational Organizations in Afghanistan as they believe there are considerable opportunities given the quality of audit work being performed by other firms in the country.
Mr. Basit comments, “IIyas Saeed & Co (ISCO) is a long-standing member of MGI Worldwide for over 30 years. We opened our Branch Office, IIyas Saeed Chartered Accountants (ISCA) in Kabul, Afghanistan in 2016. Afghanistan is bordered by Pakistan in the south and east; Iran in the west; Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan in the north; and China in the far northeast - it also borders Gilgit-Baltistan in this region.
With a population of 35 million it is the 42nd most populous country and 41st largest country in the world.
Joining Muhammed as an MGI Worldwide Key contact at the Kabul-based firm is Manager for Assurance & Advisory, Irfan Khalid Qureshi.
