2018 MGI Australasia Region meeting for accounting network members is held in Canberra, Australia

This year’s MGI Australasia Region conference took place on 12-13 April in Australia's capital, Canberra, ACT with accountancy association representatives attending from across the region including Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Auckland and Perth.

Informative workshops and discussions

Lorin Joyce, managing partner of the host firm MGI Joyce|Dickson, opened proceedings followed by an interactive and engaging workshop facilitated by our keynote speaker, Ross Dawson, covering the theme of “the Future of Accounting.” 

This theme continued into popular breakout sessions over the two days where delegates split into groups covering the core focus areas of practice management, business development and services specialisations and also into our full group discussions where we workshopped the benefits of the accountancy network in our changing environment.

New Chairman for Australasia

Accounting firm delegates also received an update from our outgoing Australasian Chairman, Grant Field in which he shared the activities conducted by MGI Australasia over the last 12 months to provide value to its members and announced his successor, Lorin Joyce as Chairman of the MGI Australasia network.
