New MGI Worldwide member firm Shankar Associates in action networking and building cross border relationships

Nepal-based Shankar Associates joined MGI Worldwide global accounting network in January 2019 in order to boost its competitiveness in the local market and to raise its profile on the global stage. With that objective in mind, firm Partner Shankar Thapa made sure that whilst on holiday in Singapore and Thailand he found time to meet with his respective MGI Worldwide colleagues.

Building relationships in Singapore

“Being part of International network not only brings international exposure and a pool of resources but also opportunity to share experience and partnerships beyond borders” said Shankar. During his meeting with Imran Assan of MGI Alliance PAC they had a general discussion about the accounting professional scenario in Nepal and Singapore.

Imran reiterated that being part of an international accounting association like MGI Worldwide is about sharing, not taking. It is about forming trust with fellow members and helping one another achieve business goals.

Meeting colleagues in Bangkok

While in Bangkok, Shankar paid a quick visit to Nathee Audit Company. Ltd. There he met partner Thanadee Hongratana-uthai. It is important, said Thanadee that as an owner, business growth is dependent on making connections that can help you reach more clients. Apart from getting to know each other Thanadee and Shankar also shared their thoughts on how to make the most of being part of a network and benefitting from MGI membership.
