Incredible milestone with 40 years of membership for MGI’s UK-based Rickard Luckin Limited and Hong Kong-based Kenneth Chau & Co.
Anniversaries are always a cause for celebration, which is why we are delighted to share the news that two of our members recently shared a milestone 40-year anniversary of their membership to our global accounting network MGI Worldwide!
Both member firms were in attendance at the recent Global AGM in Dubai, UAE, which gave us the perfect opportunity to thank them for their commitment over the past four decades in a wonderful and unique setting where their achievement could be shared and celebrated with their MGI friends and colleagues from across the world.
Rickard Luckin Limited and Kenneth Chau & Co. – Happy 40th Anniversary!
Alan Worsdale from Rickard Luckin Limited (UK) and Ken Yeung from Kenneth Chau & Co. (Hong Kong) joined us at the Global AGM, where they explained the benefits of membership and how being a part of the accounting network has been extremely beneficial and rewarding both professionally and personally.
Alan Worsdale from Rickard Luckin Limited speaks of his experience with MGI Worldwide
Rickard Luckin Limited joined MGI Worldwide in May 1979 and their milestone anniversary coincided with Alan’s last Global AGM before his retirement which, as he explained, made it particularly poignant;
“It is likely that Dubai 2019 will be the last time I attend an MGI Global AGM, so it was great to sign off in style, especially with the added success of also being awarded 2019 Large Firm of the Year at the MGI Worldwide Awards.”
Reflecting on his time, Alan explained that 40 years is something the firm is extremely proud of, and he recalled many instances where their clients were greatly assisted by MGI Worldwide members throughout the world.
Alan also mentioned Kevin Thomas, Partner at the firm and a very familiar face at MGI Worldwide events, who was present at the AGM celebrating alongside Alan – Kevin will be leading the relationship between Rickard Luckin and MGI Worldwide moving forward.
Ken Yeung from Kenneth Chau & Co. also shared his thoughts on their 40-year membership
Kenneth Chau & Co. joined MGI Worldwide in June 1979. Ken began by telling us how the sharing of professional experiences, and the emphasis on global MGI Worldwide member collaboration and opportunities were enhanced against the backdrop of Dubai and the chance to celebrate with other MGI member firms.
“It was an honour for Kenneth Chau & Co. to celebrate our 40th anniversary as an MGI Worldwide member with our global MGI colleagues.”
He went on to explain how their association with MGI Worldwide has greatly helped the firm to serve their clients well over the past 40 years, during which time Kenneth Chau & Co. has also reflected the growth of Hong Kong into a financial hub offering a high standard of service to global enterprises.
Both firms were delighted to be able to share their 40-year membership with each other.
Highlighting the personal, as well as professional benefits of belonging to the global accountancy network, both of our 40-year members referenced each other, with Alan saying that it was “very special, and in the true spirit of what MGI stands for” that they could jointly celebrate the experience alongside Kenneth Chau and Co. Ken Yeung returned the sentiment, saying that they have a “twin brother” in Rickard Luckin Limited – the Chinese believe that good things come in twos and Ken concluded by saying that he looked forward to joining hands with Rickard Luckin Limited to celebrate their 50th anniversary of the MGI Worldwide association in ten years’ time.
