Matt Moy from MGI Sydney discusses the benefits of MGI Worldwide accounting network membership when serving a client with international operations.

Speaking at the MGI Worldwide 2018 Global AGM in San Francisco, Matt Moy, from MGI Australasia firm MGI Sydney, discussed how their membership to MGI Worldwide international accountancy association has helped them to meet their client’s global requirements and to strengthen their professional relationship.

Valuable cross-border collaboration between accountancy firms

MGI Sydney’s client was an important quantity surveyor company requiring assistance with the expansion of their business into North America, the Middle East, and Asia. The global reach of MGI Worldwide and the international expertise it provided were a fundamental asset in this process, enabling firms to share knowledge and offer a uniform global service.

MGI Sydney successfully collaborated with MGI member firms across the USA, Dubai, and Qatar. Commenting on the usefulness of these partnerships, Matt says “I would hate to think about what would happen if we weren’t members of MGI. Thankfully we are! We reached out to our member network, we got in touch with RINA Accountancy Corporation, Kirsch Kohn & Bridge LLP, MGI Salim Rajkotwala & Associates, and our Qatar firm, MGI MAA.”

He goes on to add, “With a uniform approach and some fantastic professionals in this organisation we not only retained our client but absolutely strengthened the relationship with him.”
