Over 40 delegates attend the 2019 European Central Circle meeting for MGI Worldwide accountancy network members held last month in Hamburg.

MGI Worldwide held its annual Central Circle meeting for accounting group members in Hamburg

MGI Europe, part of global accountancy network MGI Worldwide, held its annual Central Circle meeting for accounting group members on 11-12 April in Hamburg, Germany. Member firm Von Diest, Greve und Partner and the leaders of the Central Circle welcomed 43 delegates from 10 countries: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, United Kingdom, Denmark, Poland, Chez Republic, Romania, Italy, Macedonia, to build business, meet and connect with their MGI friends.

The meeting took place at Ameron Hamburg Hotel located in the famous Speicherstadt quarter of Hamburg. 

The effects of digitalisation

The agenda focused on various aspects of digitalisation of the accountancy business. Organisers invited Prof. Wolfgang Henseler, founder and Managing Director of Creative SENSORY-MINDS, the Offenbach Design Studio for New Media and innovative technologies, to deliver the keynote. In addition to this, delegates learnt about the digital journeys of four fellow MGI Worldwide member firms. Sarah Jenkins from Milsted Langdon, UK; Morten Ryberg and Hans Peter Lybeak from Redmark, Germany; Katharina Feller, Gregor Kupke and Michal Grüne from BHP; and Thomas Althoff from RLT Ruhrmann Tieben & Partner all shared on the digital development of their firms.

Hansjö Frenz from the Stuttgart-based law firm Menold Bezler participated in the Circle Meeting and along with Michael Grüne from BHP shared their plans for close business cooperation between their firms in the future. 

Reto Arnold from G+S Treuhand of Bern Switzerland also participated in the meeting to learn more about MGI Worldwide as a part of thier membership application process.
