Tom Neff, from MGI Worldwide accounting group member firm RINA accountancy corporation, is named as President & CEO alongside a number of other new executive appointments.
California-based member firm of global accounting network MGI Worldwide, RINA accountancy corporation has named Tom Neff as their new President and CEO, succeeding Ed Fahey, who is continuing as an audit partner. Tom has been with RINA since 2002 and is also co-chair of their international tax practice group.
RINA ranks No. 24 on the Business Times List of Greater Bay Area Accounting Firms, based on it having 78 Bay Area client-service professionals. The firm frequently works with owners of closely-held businesses in a range of industries, as well as those involved in real estate.
In an interview with the San Francisco Business Times, Tom shared some of the challenges he plans to tackle in his new role, listing staffing in particular, and also gave an insight into his leadership philosophy, stating “I feel strongly that leadership isn’t about having the best answers, it’s about bringing out the best in those around you.

More new executive appointments
Tom is joined in his new appointment as President & CEO by some other key members of the new executive team. Robin Brotman, an audit stockholder and the Walnut Creek office head, has been appointed COO; Robin has been with RINA since 1981. Chris DeMay, a tax stockholder in the San Francisco office, is now CFO; Chris began his career at RINA in 2012. Together, this new executive team will provide the vision and focus for RINA Accountancy to thrive and grow into the future.
RINA Wealth Management Services
Part of the future vision includes focusing on the future needs of the firm’s clients, which includes the expansion of RINA Wealth Management Services LLC, which will offer a more holistic approach by incorporating wealth management services as an option for existing and prospective clients. Heading up this role is Roshan Weeramantry, who joined as the new head of RINA Wealth in September, bringing over 18 years of financial services experience.
